PEKAR, Zila (nee Ostrovsky). In her one-hundredth year, on Tuesday, July 2, 2002. Wife of the late Arie Pekar. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Nina and Larry Spier, Joseph (Yossie) and Roz, Ilana and Morty, and the late Jack. Cherished Bubby of Sheldon and Cheryl Spier, Gerald and Reissa Spier, Myra and Philip Migicovsky; Doreen Pekar and fiance Michel Auger, Marla Ramirez; Jeffrey and Rachel Pekar, Marcie and Edward Rudkowsky, Arie and Joshua Pekar; Ronnie and Karen Pekar. Loving great-grandmother of twelve great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her ten siblings of Israel. Sadly mourned by her nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the Staff of the 4th Floor Mt. Sinai Hospital, for their care and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West, on Thursday, July 4 at 1:45 p.m. Burial at the Farband Labour Zionist Organization Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva private.
