BORKOWICZ, Genia (nee Ickowicz) Peacefully, on Saturday, December 13, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Jacob. Loving mother of Sarah Borkowicz; and Frida Ansel. Adored Bubby of Sean, and Audrey Gladstein; Jason and Jory Ansel. Proud great-grandmother of Faith. Predeceased by her brother Haskell, and by her five sisters who perished in the Holocaust. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Special thanks to Jacqui Fletcher for her exceptional care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Tuesday, December 16 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Farband Labour Zionist Organization Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at her daughter's home from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. through Thursday evening.
