Obituary WEINSTEIN-MARCOVICI, Anne (Coca) Peacefully, on Sunday, August 19, 2012, at the age of eighty-five. Anne was born in Bucharest, Romania in 1927, and emigrated with her husband in 1948. She survived political upheaval, war and the Holocaust, and came to Canada in 1949 to build a new life and family in a democracy. Anne made a home for herself in Canada and came to love it with a passion. Wife of the late Solomon (Solo) Marcovici. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Sandra and Howard Sterling, Philip and Peggy Marcovici, and the late Julia (Gigi). Loving grandmother of Jennifer Sterling Jennens and Andrew Jennens, Lara Sterling, Mathew Sterling; Joshua Marcovici-Liu and Luca Marcovici-Liu. Proud great-grandmother of Sadie and Edith Jennens. Dear sister of Alex Zucker (Reinhilde), and cherished aunt to Darline Rosenhek, Diane Patpatia and Gilbert Zuker. Anne will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and many friends in Canada and overseas. She was a survivor who loved life and was an inspiration to her family. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, August 21 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Farband Labour Zionist Organization Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva to be announced.
