KATZ, Issie Peacefully, on Sunday, April 27, 2014, in his ninety-fifth year. Beloved husband of Ettie Liffshitz for seventy-one years. Devoted father and father-in-law of Carole and Ejan Mackaay, Charles (Chuck) and Rubi, and Arthur. Cherished grandpa of Adrian and Lise Mackaay; Ryan Katz, Jason and Terry Katz, Shawn Katz; Jordan, and Amanda Katz. Proud great-grandfather of Kira, Ellie, Alexander, and Michael. Dearest brother and brother-in-law of Harry and Ruth Katz (the late Hadassah), and predeceased by his other siblings, Esther (the late Issie Stotland), Anne (the late Bert Gerson). Brother-in-law of Saul and Henriette Lipson, Lenny and Elizabeth Lipson, Anne and Herbert Dobrin, Julius (Judi) and Esther Lipson. Issie will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Special thanks to his caregivers, Amy, Karen and Hermina for their exceptional care, and to the 4th floor staff at Mount Sinai Hospital for their compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, April 29 at 12 noon. Burial at the Montefiore Protective Cemetery, de la Savane.
