BLACKER, Irving. Peacefully, after a courageous battle on Wednesday, October 29, 2003. Son of the late Sam and the late Sylvia Blacker. Beloved husband of Norma Sanders. Loving and devoted father and father-in-law of Barry and Naomi, and Roselyn Blacker. Cherished Zaidie of Troy and Deidra. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Ethel and Larry Merson, Laura and Morty Pesner, and brother-in-law of Morton (Sonny) and Terry Sanders. He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, family and many friends. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Jewish General Hospital Emergency Department for their exceptional care and compassion. Special thanks to Dr. Rudy Brenner, Dr. Victor Cohen, and Dr. Bouhadana for their care and devotion. Funeral Service took place from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon Street West on Friday, October 31, at 2:30 p.m. Burial at the Montefiore Protective Association Cemetery, de la Savane.
