BRENER, Alter. Peacefully, in his ninety-ninth year, on Monday, March 31, 2008. Beloved husband of the late Estera Spitzman. Loving father and father-in-law of Tema (Tammi) and the late Irving Belfer, Linda and Edward Gavsie, David and Judy (Rozansky) Brener. Cherished Zaida of Lonnie and Tami, Mandy and Yoni, Jeanna and Kevin, Carolyn, Orin, Eric and Shiran, Stacey, Debbie. Proud great-grandfather of Zoe, Bailey, Avi, Hana. Brother of Sala, Esther, Moishe, and the late Hela, all who survived the Holocaust; and predeceased by his four other brothers, Itzchak Beresh, Shmiel, Simcha Leibish and Chamel, and by his parents, Shmayah and Tema, all of whom perished in the Holocaust. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of 4 South and his caregivers at Maimonides Geriatric Centre.
