AXLER, Harold Peacefully and with dignity, on Friday, September 5, 2014, in his ninety-sixth year. Beloved husband of Shirlee Palefsky and the late Ethel Walker. Most cherished father and father-in-law of Gail and Eddie Richler, Gary and Linda Axler. Devoted Zaidi of Scott and Jen, Mitchell and Kim, Erin and Eric, Eric, and Adam. Adoring 'Great Zaidi' of Charlotte, Margaux, Max and Avery. He will be sadly missed by Gary and Libby Gillman, Elliott and Linda Gillman, Gloria Moses, Bryna and David Katz, their nine children and two grandchildren, who considered him as their own grandfather and great-grandfather. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Anita and the late Sam Sherman, Lou Axler, the late Saul and the late Rose Axler, Shirley and the late Alec Axler. Brother-in-law of Gilda and the late Irving Palefsky, Evelyn and Harry Orenstein, Havie and the late Marvin Walker. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Monday, September 8 at 10 a.m. Burial at the Montefiore Protective Cemetery, de la Savane.
