TRAGER, Ida (nee Gillick). Peacefully in her ninety-sixth year on Thursday, July 1, 2004. Beloved wife of the late Morris. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Sam and Arlene, Ethel and Jack Garfinkle, Leonard Trager (Eileen), the late Beatrice and the late Oscar Stein. Cherished bubbie of eighteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Diane and the late Dave Gillick, the late Marck and the late Toba, the late Morris and predeceased by her other brothers and sisters. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Special thanks to Rabbi Hershel Schechter, Ellen Tissenbaum, Howard Modlin and the staff and caregivers at the Montefiore Residence and to the Doctors, Nurses and staff of 5N at Maimonides Hospital for their extreme kindness. The family would like to thank Dr. Arthur Rosenberg, and her caregivers Patsy and Nazareth for their devotion. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West, on Sunday, July 4, at 12:15 p.m. Burial at the Montefiore Protective Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at 5885 Cavendish.
