WESTREICH-ROTENBERG, Ruta Peacefully at home among family on Monday, February 25, 2013. Beloved wife of Herman Rotenberg. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Daniel Westreich and Dyanoosh Youssefi, Philippe and Monique Westreich. Dear Bubbie of Sipora, Ramona, Ariella, and Noah. Daughter of the late Felicja and the late Oskar. She will be missed by her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Sonja and Zvi Langburt, by Jeffrey, David, and Adam Rotenberg, and by her nieces and nephews. Ruta came to Canada from Poland via France and helped many people in several languages, including English, French, Polish, Yiddish and Russian, as a therapist, teacher, mentor and colleague during her career as a psychologist and professor at the Jewish General Hospital's Institute of Community and Family Psychiatry and McGill University. Heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff at CLSC Rene-Cassin and Mount Sinai Hospital, the VON nurses, and to our friend Dr. Raisa Sheftel, whose assistance and support were invaluable during her final days. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Thursday, February 28 at 2:00 p.m. Burial at the Montreal Workers' Circle Association Cemetery, de la Savane.
