TRACHTENBERG, Helen (Chaja) (nee Wais) Peacefully, in her ninety-second year, on Sunday, November 13, 2011, at Hillel Lodge in Ottawa. Wife of the late Isaac Trachtenberg. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Dvora and Gina, Mark and Ida. Loving grandmother of Benjamin. Adored sister of Czarna Paliwoda and the late Abraham Wais. Beloved aunt of Esther and Tzippi Paliwoda. Predeceased by her parents and two brothers, who perished in the Holocaust. In her last weeks of life, Helen was surrounded by her loving family and cared for by the exceptional Hillel Lodge staff. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, November 15 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Montreal Workers' Circle Association Cemetery, rue de la Savane.
