SHLIEN, Shelomo (Sam). It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved "Zayda" at the age of ninety-eight, on Friday, January 16, 2009. He was predeceased by his wife Esther with whom he shared close to 70 years of incredible devotion. He will be greatly missed by his children Anne and Jack (Ricki) and his grandchildren Ariel (Isabelle) and Ron (Shari). Shelomo was blessed to have had and enjoyed his five great-grandchildren: Alexa, Ella, Aiden, William and Daniel. Sam led an exemplary life of quiet dignity and great courage, for which he will be remembered by his loving extended family and friends. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West, on Sunday, January 18 at 3:15 p.m. Burial at the Montreal Workers' Circle Cemetery, de la Savane.
