Peacefully, on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at the age of one-hundred-and-one. Loving and devoted mother of Arlene, Judy, and Harvey. Beloved wife of the late Sam Belfer. Daughter of the late Rose and the late Abraham Braker. Adored and cherished bubby of Jennifer Kaminski (Paul Renaud), Jarred Kaminski (Ashley Toulch), Corey Kaminski (Melanie Kozlan), Heather Slepchik (David Zeligman), Melanie Slepchik (Kyle Szarka), Ilana Belfer, Jacob Belfer. Proud great-grandmother of Shia, Abigail, Lou, Milo, Robin, Elliot, Joey. Predeceased by her dear sisters, Ethel (late Phil Nutik) and Rae (late Louis Astroff). Special Aunt of Brian Ostrovsky, Howard Astroff (Dorothy Pakman), Ronnie Astroff (Camille Behar), Stuart Nutik. Great-aunt of Esther, Harrison, Arielle, and Mikayla. Heartfelt thanks to her wonderful caregivers, Anamie, Jean, Oditha, Aleli, Neva and Daphne for their love and devotion. Special thanks to the caring staff of 6th Floor at the Donald Berman Maimonides Geriatric Centre. She will be deeply missed by her family and those who knew her. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, February 2 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at Montreal Workers' Circle Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva private.
