Peacefully, on Saturday, March 16, 2019, in his ninety-sixth year. Beloved husband of the late Dena. Devoted father and father-in-law of Ralph and Annie Meltzer. Cherished Zeidy of Amanda and Cliff Shapiro. Proud great-Zeidy of Layla Dina. Brother and brother-in-law of the late Rose and the late Nathan Schenker of New York; and brother-in-law of Tanya and the late Morris Rosenthal of Toronto, the late Simon Burstein of Toronto, the late Mark and the late Jenny Burstein. Morris will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, family, and all those whose lives he touched. The family would like to express their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of 3 South at Maimonides Geriatric Centre for their exceptional care and compassion. Special thanks to his dear caregiver, Sheila for her love and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, March 19 at 2:00 p.m. Burial at the Montreal Workers' Circle Cemetery, de la Savane.
