| Obituary | Peacefully at age ninety-three on Saturday, January 31, 2026. Lifelong husband and best friend of Miriam. Loving and devoted father and father-in-law of Hershey and Jill (Weinstein), Heidi and Sheldon (Besner) and the late Lorne Perlman, and Lynne and Jon (Greer). Cherished Zaidie of Jake, Benji, Bella, Kelly, Tori and Avery, Sydney, Charlotte, and Max. Son of the late Isaac and the late Chava Piafsky. Dear brother of Susan and Yigal, Helen and the late Zalman Neudorf, Rhoda and the late Peter Neudorf. Predeceased by his siblings Bella, Rose and David, and Ella and Moniek. Michael will be sadly missed by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Natalie and Hershey Morganstein, and many nieces and nephews. Survivor of the Holocaust. Michael was a gentle, wise, and kind spirit. He will be greatly missed by all. Special thanks to Esther Balofor, the staff at the CLSC, the Cummings Center, and Sasha, his physiotherapist, for their care and devotion. Extreme gratitude to Michael’s exceptional caregivers, Jubee, Joy, Elsa, Rosemarie, and all the others who were there for him along the way.
Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W. on Monday, February 2nd at 11:00 a.m. Burial at Shevet Achim Congregation Section, de la Savane. Shiva at 259 Harrow Crescent, Hampstead.
