BLECH, Shirley (nee Polatshek). Peacefully on Friday April 18, 2003, the second day of Passover (the sixteenth day of Nissan). Beloved and devoted wife of Harry (Hersh) Blech. Loving mother of Julie Brock (Neil Gladstone). Dear sister of Sol (Mona), Polachek and Lynn (Gerry) Weinstein. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Shirley was the long-time proprietor of Miss Westmount and will be remembered as an extremely warm and generous person, who always put the concern of others before herself. A special thank you to Dr. Lawrence Panasci, Dr. David Melnychik, Ginette Ricard, Chantal Cloutier, and Maria Lewis for your exceptional care, and caregivers Joy Maxwell, Cynthia Jordan, Ivy Campbell, Annette Hector for your compassion and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon W. on Monday April 21 at 1 p.m. Burial at the Shevat Achim Cemetery, de la Savane. Due to the Festival of Passover, Shiva will commence Thursday evening, April 25, 2003. Shiva private.
