BLUMER, Norman Decorated WWII Veteran. Surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, May 24, 2009. Cherished husband of Esther Molson for almost sixty years. Loving and devoted father and father-in-law of Arthur and Candy, Julie and Victor, and Lorne and Robin. Treasured Zaidye of Taryn, Paige, Alexis, Jill and Olivia. Adored brother of Ethel Abrams, and the late Joe and the late Betty Blumer. Dear brother-in-law of the late Mary Wallach (Charles), and the late Anne Lonn (Stan). He will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews. The family extends heartfelt appreciation to the staff of 2N at Maimonides Geriatric Centre for their care and compassion. Very special thanks to Dr. Bourkas and Dr. Andonatos. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, May 26, at 12 p.m. Burial at the Bassarabier Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at 5500 Borden Avenue #604, C.S.L., 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. daily. Due to the festival of Shavuot, shiva ends Thursday afternoon.
