WEISS, Gertie (nee Sublofsky)
Peacefully, in her ninety-fifth year, on Monday, May 1, 2017. Beloved wife of the late David. Loving and devoted mother and mother-in-law of Marsha and Dr. Joe Cassoff, Allan Weiss, Harvey and Orit Weiss. Cherished Bubby of Derek and Erika, Melanie and Thomas, Jeffrey and Villy; David, Jessica, and Bryan. Proud great-grandmother of five. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters and their spouses, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Gertie will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, family and all of those whose lives she touched. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the 3rd floor Kastner Pavilion of the Jewish Eldercare Centre for their exceptional care and compassion. Special thanks to her dear caregivers Lydia and Zany for their love and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Thursday, May 4 at 1:15 p.m. Burial at the Ahavath Schulom Cemetery, de la Savane.
