Peacefully, after a short illness, on Friday, February 22, 2002. Devoted son of the late Sima and the late Jacob. Beloved husband of the late Minnie Averson. Loving father of Debbie. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Dorothy Mann (the late Phil), Bess Goldberg (the late Saul), Helen Schrider (the late Jack), Rae Lipes Waxman (the late Louis Lipes, the late Zigmund Waxman), the late Anne and the late Irving Anchel; Abe Averson, Ben Sederoff (the late Annie), and the late Sophie and the late Eddie Katz. Very special uncle to his neices and nephews and their families. He was a well-respected member of the Jewish community and a loyal friend to many. He was revered by all who knew him, and he will be sadly missed. Many thanks to Dr. Sylvia Windholz, Dr. Peter Goldberg and the nurses and staff of 6 North West of The Jewish General Hospital. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West on Sunday, February 24 at 2 p.m. Burial at the Adath Israel Poale Zedek Cemetery, de la Savane.
