COGAN, Sylvia. On Wednesday, June 16, 2004, with the utmost dignity, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. She leaves behind her very best friend and adoring husband of fifty-one years, Hymie, her beloved children Maxine and Harvey Novinsky, Fern, Michael, her brother and sister-in-law Sammy and Freda Granner, sisters-in-law Shirley Granner, Doris Cogan, Sarah Indaig, and brother-in-law Irwin Cogan. Cherished bubby to Jennifer, Alisa, Derek and Vanessa. Predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law Fannie and Frank Strolovitch, brothers Benny and Gerald Granner, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Claire and Ben Gittleman, Jean Cogan, Marcus Cogan. She will be lovingly remembered by her devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and by her lifelong friend Libby Loomer. Anyone who was fortunate to know Sylvia will always remember her kindness and generosity. Funeral service took place from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West on Friday, June 18 at 12 noon.
