Obituary COMM, Hyman David - It is with great sadness that our family announces David's passing on Monday, February 1, 2010 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the age of eighty-five. David leaves his devoted and much loved wife of sixty-one years, Mary Ida Farrell. Cherished father, he will be forever remembered by his children and their spouses, Les and Lorraine, Patricia, Bryna, Joan and Michael Gertler, Jacqueline and Howard Schneiderman. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Sarri and Chris Morin, Barbara, and Jason Comm, Kimberly and Mitchell Tilden, Matthew and Sarah Gertler, as well as by his four great-grandchildren. Loving son of the late Bella (Wasserman) and the late Eric Comm. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Betty and Irving Federgreen, Henry and Mildred, Leonard and Louise and brother-in-law of Hughie and Donna Farrell. A proud member of the Black Watch (RHR) of Canada and past President of both the Black Watch Association and the Cote Saint-Luc Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 97. David, along with his business partner George, worked hard to establish his own business Comm Electric, which he ran for many years. The family would like to express their gratitude for all the special care and attention David received from the staff at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., Montreal on Thursday, February 4 at 3 p. m. Burial at the Jewish War Veterans' Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at the Beth Zion Synagogue, 5740 Hudson Ave., Cote Saint-Luc Thursday only, continuing in Oshawa, Ontario at 214 Athabasca St., on Saturday, February 6 at 6: 30 p. m. and Sunday, February 7 at 3 p. m.
