Obituary | Peacefully at Sunnybrook Veterans Centre on January 13, 2022 at the age of 96. Devoted and beloved husband to Roberta Ruttenberg Tetefsky and the late Helen Colton Tetefsky. Loving and caring father to Ellie and Dr. Eric Saibil, Howie Tetefsky (Tatner) and Ruthie, Rhonda Linds, stepdaughters Lorna (the late Arthur Block), Linda Gould and Faigie (the late Bernie Antecol). Loving and dedicated brother and brother-in-law to the late Norman and Terry Tetefsky, the late Rae Tetefsky and the late Lilly and Hank Brenner. Dad was also the loving stepfather to Russell (Suzy) and Warren Campbell. Loving grandfather and great grandfather to many beautiful grandchildren and great grandchildren and uncle to many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Dad was born in 1925 to Julius Tetefsky (Kirtaregrad,Ukraine) and Dora Yekeltshik (Vilna, Lithuania) (both who emigrated to Canada (circa 1920) with their respective families) and to whom he was a loving and dedicated son. He volunteered in 1944 at the age of 18 and served overseas in the Canadian army medical corps from 1944 to 1946. He had been active in the Canadian Legion. He became a furrier, highly skilled at fabricating a fur garment when they still were in fashion and socially acceptable. Dad and Roberta enjoyed annual cruise trips around the world taking in the sights and having a good old time together. Shiva strictly private. He will be sorely missed. |
