GOLD, Eva (nee Mintz) In her one-hundred-and-fifth year, on Saturday, March 5, 2011, the matriarch of our family passed away. When Eva (Chavalah) turned 100, she said that she would live to 200, and she was well on her way. Wife of the late Abie Gold. Beloved mother of Sheila and the late Josie, and mother-in-law of Syd Greenberg and Phil Gotfrit. Cherished Bubbie of Martin and Patricia Gotfrit, Leslie and Paul Bauman; Marleen and Dave Field, Gail and Keith Hanadel, Jonathan and Karen Greenberg. Loving Great-Bubbie of Noah and Jesse Gotfrit; Isaac and Josie Bauman; Mira Field; David and Ava Hanadel; and Gavin Greenberg. She adored them all. Predeceased by her dear siblings and their spouses, Louis and Faigele, Sam and Lily, Simon and Estelle, Surele, Baila, Velvela, and Chaim Laibel Mintz (Mitmaker). Sister-in-law of the late Sarah and the late Phil Tomarkin, the late Leibel and the late Lily Gold. A special thank you to all her caretaker/friends who looked after her lovingly in her home: Nellie, Margaret, Nora, Sheila and Vicky. They were her second family. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Monday, March 7 at 2 p.m. Burial at the Adath Israel Poale Zedek Anshei Ozeroff Congregation Cemetery, Anshei Ozeroff Section, de la Savane.
