KOGUT-TAUBER, Tobi (nee Berkowitz). Peacefully and with dignity, at Mt. Sinai Hospital, on Monday, October 13, 2008, at the age of eighty-eight. Beloved wife of Benjamin Tauber and the late Eisig Kogut. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Eli and Sandy, Larry and Ellen Kogut. Loving stepmother of Goldie and Morris Jablon, Joseph and the late Michael Tauber. Cherished Bubby of Shira and Maayan Raiffen, Eric, David, Aaron, and Shoshana Kogut; Karin and Deron Brown, Jonathan Jablon; Tommy Tauber, Marie Tauber and Dave Savage. Loving great-grandmother of Jack Brown and Asher Savage. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Meyer and Zelda Berkowitz, Harry and Malka Berkowitz, Rosie and the late Zev Appel, Leah and the late Hersh Bercovici, all of whom survived the Holocaust. She will be remembered for her dedication to her family and to her friends at the Shomrim Laboker Congregation. The family would like to thank the staff of 7W Jewish General Hospital and of the Palliative Care Unit at Mt. Sinai Hospital for their sincere concern and quality care. Graveside service took place on Monday, October 13 at the Adath Israel Poale Zedek Anshei Ozeroff Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane. Due to the festival of Succot, there will be no shiva.
