POLGER, Ruth (nee Lipshitz) Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, January 31, 2015, in her ninety-seventh year. Wife of the late Ben Polger. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Leni and Donald Fisher, Reisha and Arthur Rosten, Shimmie and Mark Liebman. Cherished "Bubs" of Stephan Flam and Dominique Baril, Debbie, and Robben Flam; Tami and Gregg Applefield; Bryan and Lauren Kaplan, Tara and Rob Fried. Adored great "Bubby" of Jahvon and Isaiah Vernon, and Kiara Pierre; Olivia and Spencer Kaplan, Jake and Brody Fried. Predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Hymie and Lilian Lipsey, Lena Lipsey, Sarah and Oscar Zuker, Benny and Mitzi Lipsey, Herchie and Gertie Lipsey, Lil and Bob Muller, and by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Hymie and Leah Polger, Jack and Jennie Polger, Sarah and Sam Udelovitch, Mac and Anne Polger. Sadly mourned by Donald Flam, Stephen Kaplan, and by her nieces, nephews, family and friends. Special thanks to Sonia for her care and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, February 3 at 1 p.m. Burial at the Independent Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva through Thursday evening.
