OBRAND, Bess (nee Silver) On Tuesday, March 6, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Moe Obrand. Daughter of the late Morris and the late Rose Silver. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Herschel Obrand, Leona and Eddie Jasnoch, Ellen and the late Alan Pesner. Adored "Bubby Bess" of Heather and Asher Tannenbaum, Rob Kape; Michael, Richard and Sam Obrand; Jonathan and Orly Pesner, Gillian Pesner, Stephanie and Jeremy Cymet. "Bubby Bubby" to Benjamin and Maddy Tannenbaum, Maia and Alexandra Cymet, David and Mykah Pesner. Loving sister and sister-in-law of Mary and the late Sam Cooper, the late Pvt. Harry Silver, the late Nettye and the late Bill Morgan, and sister-in-law of the late Ann and the late Moe Rabiner, the late Sadie and the late Harry Borovay, the late Bess and the late Marty Krell, the late Libby and Harry Slutsken, the late David and the late Esther Obrand, the late Irving and the late Gertie Obrand. Bess will be always remembered and loved by her cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Jewish General Hospital for their exceptional care. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Thursday, March 8 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Independent Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at her home.
