GOLDSMITH, Ethel (nee Goldstein) With profound sadness, we announce Ethel's passing on Monday, September 9, 2013, in her one-hundred-and-first year. Devoted wife of the late Irving Goldsmith. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Richard and Gail, David and Eileen, Arthur and Jan. Adored grandmother of Jodi Goldsmith and Dr. Stephen Gelber, Aaron, Thomas, and Ilana Goldsmith. Proud great-grandmother of Evan Sean, and Brandon Ryan Gelber. Special sister of Jules Gordon. Predeceased by other siblings Anne Ross, Ada Weiss, Rose Frankenberg, Harry Kaplan, Bill Kaplan, David Gordon, and Sonny Gordon. Ethel will be sadly mourned by her many nieces and nephews. Many thanks to the caring 4th floor staff of the Henri Bradet Residence, and special thanks to Kathleen Cork for her love and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Wednesday, September 11 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Zichron Kedoshim Congregation Cemetery, Anshei Ukraina Section, de la Savane. Shiva will be observed at the home of David and Eileen; due to the advent of Yom Kippur Shiva ends on Friday at 1:00 p.m. Contributions in Ethel's memory may be made to the charity of your choice. |
