GRANNER, Sam April 14, 1924 – February 25, 2017 Peacefully at home, on Saturday, February 25, 2017, in his ninety-third year. Extremely devoted husband and best friend of the late Freda Abramson for sixty-nine years. Beloved father and father-in-law of Francine, Brian and Elisheva, Marty and Sanda (Richstone). Cherished Zaida of David and Alicia Marmaros, Jonathan Marmaros and fiancee Dana Grossman, and the late Michael Marmaros; Mordechai and Danielle Granner, Sharon and Maayan Fox, and Michal Granner; Tamara, and Jordan Granner. Proud great-Zaida of Aaron Marmaros, Yahel and Ilay Granner. Predeceased by his siblings and their spouses, Fanny and Frank Strolovitch, Benny and Shirley Granner, Sylvia and Hy Cogan, and Gerald Granner. Dear brother-in-law of Edith and the late Jack Feldman, Saundra and the late Joey Abramson (the late Lily), the late Eli and the late Riva Abramson, the late Simon and the late Ellen Abramson, the late Isaac and the late Grace Abramson. Sammy will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, February 28 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Zichron Kedoshim Congregation Cemetery, Anshei Ukraina New Section, de la Savane. Shiva at his home, from 1:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. daily.
