NATALIE RYLES (nee GLASS) 1925 - 2011 Wife of Oscar Ryles. Human relations expert and psychologist, co-founder of the Cosmo Restaurant in the 1950s and co-founder in 1963 with her brother Gerald of the world famous Academic Book Shop. She sold her part to Gerald in 1968 (the book shop passed into history in 2006). Natalie is survived by her husband; her daughter Linda Black (wife of Mark); her brother Gerald Glass (Mr. Academic) and his wife Judith; her sister Hilde and her children and grandchildren; as well as her sister's children: Nurit & Gadi, and their children. She will be missed by Gerald's son Martin, his wife Jennifer and their three daughters. She had a hard life in pre-war Germany and in war time England. The funeral was held on May 13. She will be missed by all who knew her. |
