ELMALEH, Joseph. After a lengthy illness, on Sunday, December 7, 2008, in his ninety-third year. Beloved husband of the late Etoile Elmaleh. Devoted father and father-in-law of Claudine and the late Georges Cohen, Ruth and Daniel Curtet, Gad and Stella Elmaleh, Benjamin and Marie Elmaleh, Colette and Georges Cohen, Michelle & Gilles Besner, Robert and Yuen Elmaleh, Therese and Michael Brownstein, and Elise Elmaleh. Devoted brother and brother-in-law. "Papa Joseph" of David, Annie and Sammy Cohen, Arnaud and Beatrice Curtet, Thierry and Audrey Elmaleh, Stephane and Veronique Elmaleh, Martine and Gilles Torjman, Alexandre and Nathalie Cohen, Jonathan Cohen, Yan Besner and Carla Erlich, Cynthia Elmaleh, David Brownstein, Julia Brownstein and Eric Ouaknine. Great-grandfather of Jake Cohen, Hadassa, Yaacov-Chaim, Pinhas, Simha, Benjamin and Touvia Cohen and Nathan Torjman. The family is forever grateful to his caregiver Mita Mazilou. Funeral service took place from Paperman & Sons on Monday, December 8. Burial in Israel. Shiva private. Services at the Spanish and Portuguese Congregation.
