VINEBERG, Somer It is with great sadness that the family announces his sudden passing on Tuesday, March 8, 2016. Predeceased by his parents Alex and Sophie (Airov), he is survived by his brothers Mark (Carol Bouley) and Harold (Marcia Cohen). Dear uncle of Tammy and Marla (Andre Emry). Known as the "courier-poet," Somer's love of poetry began when he was a teenager. Among others, he credited Khalil Gibran and Ogden Nash for having inspired him to write five books of poetry. He donated the sales to the Cancer Society. Somer's family and many friends will always remember him as a gentle soul who was sensitive to the suffering of others. He cared about equal justice for all. Special thanks to Drs. Henry Coopersmith and Michael Bond for the quality care they provided Somer for many years; Maggie Jutras (CLSC) and Annette Sampson (Samdor Homecare) for treating Somer like a member of their families; Lynn Tyldsley, Somer's angel.
