ZELKOWITZ, Alexander On Thursday, August 14, 2014. Son of the late Faiga and the late Maximillian. Dear brother and brother-in-law of the late Sigmund and the late Nina Zelkowitz; and predeceased by his two sisters and three other brothers. Beloved uncle of Lilly and Isaac Katofsky, Phyllis Zelkowitz and Mort Weinfeld. Much loved great-uncle of Ryan and Ruth, Jason, Rebecca and Andrew, David, and Joanna. Proud great-great-uncle of Joshua, and Nina. The family would like to thank his caregiver Val Morgan for her loving care and devotion. Special thanks to the staff of the 3rd floor Intensive Care Unit at the Jewish General Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion. "Uncle" will be sadly missed and greatly remembered for his creativity of spirit and his love of family. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, August 17 at 10:00 a.m. Burial at the Hebrew Sick Benefit Association Cemetery, de la Savane. The family will be receiving visitors following burial and on Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Phyllis' home, 4473 Harvard Ave., N.D.G.
