FINKELSTEIN, Morty. Peacefully, after a courageous battle on Sunday, May 26, 2002. Beloved husband of Mary Ghetler. Loving and devoted father and father-in-law of Karen of San Diego, Stephen and Carol. Dear brother of Doris Gottheil, the late Belle Dworkin, the late Manny Finkelstein and brother-in-law of Lou Gottheil, Claire Finkelstein, Joe and Dorothy Ghetler of Ottawa. Cherished grandfather of Stephanie and Dov Popack, Tina and Andrew Henle and Laura Finkelstein. Loving great-grandfather of Eliora Popack. He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, family, friends and the staff of Adorable Lingerie and Adorable Kids. The family wishes to thank Dr. Dworkind of the Palliative Care Unit and the CLSC Rene Cassin for their kindness, care and compassion, with special thanks to Joanne. Funeral service took place from Paperman & Sons, on Monday, May 27 at 11 a.m. Burial at the Nusach Hoari Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva private. Contributions in his memory may be made to the "Morty Finkelstein Memorial Fund" for Palliative Care at the Jewish General Hospital Foundation, 340-8251. |
