BROWNSTEIN, Sarah (nee Shajewich). Peacefully, in her ninety-seventh year, on Thursday, July 10, 2008. Beloved wife of the late Joe. Loving and devoted mother and mother-in-law of Rita and Irwin Kopin, Phil and Marion, Seymour and Hana. Cherished "Bubby Sarah" of Judye and Marty, Alan and Liz, Gail and Andy; Herb and Debbie, Mitchell and Elaine, and Jennifer; Galit and Steven, Ariella and Michael, and Jonathan. Proud and much loved great-grandmother of Noah, Hannah and Kaylah; Joshua and Daniel; Rebecca, Jordan and Alana; Ryan, Joshua and Sean; Andrew, Matthew and Marlee; Samara, Jordana, Lea and Brandon; Cameron and Caitlin. Predeceased by her brothers and their families who perished in the Holocaust. Special thanks to her companion Rosemary for her loving care and devotion. The family would like to thank the 3rd floor staff of Maimonides Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W. on Sunday, July 13 at 2 p.m. Burial at the Russian Polish Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane.
