SHAPIRO, Gertrude (nee Reisman) Peacefully, on Monday, May 24, 2010. Beloved wife of the late Hyman. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Larry (Dianne), David (Corry) and Shari-Ann (Larry Furman). Proud Bubby of Mandy (Keith), Tara (Kai), Ryan, Casey, Joshua, Kevin (Jackie), Amy (Stephen), the late Michael and the late David Joseph. Great-grandmother of Trenten, Dylan, Bradley, Valerie, Alyssa and Haley. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Connie and the late Simmy Reisman, Rose and the late Moe Reisman, Lynn and Ernie Lutterman, and sister-in-law of Irving and Beverly Shapiro, the late Sylvia and the late Josef Stein, the late Mamie and the late Melvin Schacter. Special thanks to Dr. Michael Dworkind for his compassionate support and to the staff of 2 North-East of the Jewish General Hospital. Special thanks to Winnie Blackwood for her care, compassion and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Wednesday, May 26 at 1 p.m. Burial at the Russian Polish Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane.
