KARPENKOP, Hyman. On Tuesday, February 12, 2008, at the spirited age of one hundred and three. Beloved husband of the late Frances. Adored father and father-in-law of David Karp, Renee and Ed Katz. Inspiring and outstanding grandfather of Leonard, and Rebecca. Predeceased by his brother Louis Karpenkop, his sister Sarah Raefsky, and his parents and other siblings who perished in the Holocaust. Special uncle of Estelle and Gerry Alexander, Manny Raefsky, the late Alice Raefsky, and his other nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of 6th floor Surgery at St. Mary's Hospital for their incredible care. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W. on Friday, February 15 at 11 a.m. Burial at the Russian Polish Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at 5713 Melling Ave., C.S.L.
