FAJERTAG, Regina (nee Blachman) A special woman of valour and a Holocaust survivor. Peacefully and with dignity, at home, after a valiant struggle, on March 9, 2011, in her eighty-ninth year. Loving wife of the late Sam. Devoted mother of Marv Hymie (Doreen Rosen) of Thornhill, Ontario, Philip (Rhona (Rosenzweig). Loving grandmother of Julie and Kenny Kaufman, Richard and Galit Levy, Cori-Lee and Ronnie Bloom of Thornhill, Ontario; Mark and Tamara Fajertag. Proud great-grandmother of Zachary, Jacob and Dylan Kaufman; Ethan and Shane Fajertag; Zoe, Ella and Jackson Bloom. Cherished sister and sister-in-law of the late Mala and late Jack Hollander; and sister-in-law of inseparable best friend and caregiver Chaim Fajertag and the late Robbie, the late Heniek and the late Gussie Fajertag. Dear aunt, great-aunt and great-great aunt to many. Special thanks to her caregiver, Sheila Burnham and to Dr. Alper. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Friday, March 11 at 1 p.m. Burial at the Russian Polish Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva to be announced.
