Nathan (Nat). Peacefully, after a valiant struggle, surrounded by his loving family, at age eighty-three, on Saturday, October 25, 2008. Beloved husband, best friend, and soul mate of Sherna (Richler) for 63 years. Loving father and father-in-law of Dr. Ian Gary and Neome, Bonnie and Stephen Black, Steve and Monique, the late Wendy. Dear brother and brother-in-law Naomi and the late Bernard Gross, Jerry and Ann Gross, Mitchell and Betty Richler. Special grandfather of Dr. Warren Gross; Lisa Black, Shaun and Katie Black; Adam Gross, Brahm Mauer, Lauren Mauer. He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins, special friend Harry Glazer and family, the Amici Club and all his friends. Special thanks to all of the outstandingly caring staff of the Jewish General Hospital, including the CCU, 2NE, the Heart Failure Clinic, and the Dialysis Unit. The family is grateful for the extraordinary effort and compassion of all his doctors, including Dr. H. Pomerantz, Dr. A. Zylbergold, Dr. R. Sheppard and Dr. D. Joyal. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon W, on Monday, October 27 at 2 p.m. Burial at the Russian Polish Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at 6500 Mackle Road, Monday to Thursday, 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the "Wendy Gross Memorial Fund", Quebec Cystic Fibrosis Association 514-877-6161. |
