KATZ, Shirley (nee Wolfson) After a lengthy illness, on Monday, February 13, 2017, in her ninety-third year. Devoted and adoring wife of the late Max Katz. Dear mother and mother-in-law of Betty and Johnny Cordes. Also survived by her daughter and son-in-law Arlene and Gabby Green, four grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her two sisters and their spouses. Special thanks to the doctors and staff at the Jewish General Hospital, and the caregivers at the Beit Chai Senior's Residence for their warmth and compassionate care. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Wednesday, February 15 at 2:00 p.m. Burial at Russian Polish Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at Betty's home, Wednesday following burial until 8:00 p.m., continuing strictly private.
