GROSSMAN, Gabriel Gabie Grossman passed away peacefully in the early morning of Thursday, January 27, 2011, after a lengthy illness. Predeceased by his loving wife, Leatrice Spizer, and his dear sister, Diane Eisenkraft. Beloved father and father-in-law of Michael, Sandi and Steve Lash. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Stan Grossman and Anne Dixon-Grossman, and brother-in-law of Ethel Spizer. Mr G. was a devoted grandfather to Esty Grossman and Christophe Dufau, Maxine Grossman and Justin Colavincenzo, Sam Grossman; Lysa and Mark Hornstein, Marty Lash and Kara Crudo, and the delighted great-grandfather of Katie, Lucy and Roman Hornstein. He will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews, his cousins, and other members of his extended family. The family sincerely thanks his devoted caregivers, Aurelia Baligad and Lisa Rimando, for their kind and excellent care. His long, courageous life was always governed by his personal motto "It could be worse". Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, January 30 at 11:30 a.m. Burial at the Russian Polish Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at his daughter's home.
