WIENER, Dr. Fred Peacefully, on Saturday, September 29, 2018, in his ninety-ninth year. Beloved husband of the late Gertrude Emmer. Devoted father and father-in-law of Judy, John and Doreen, Daniel and Ti, and Charles. Cherished grandfather of Emily, Leah, Jesse, Brian, Jesse, Jason, and Michael. Dear brother and brother-in-law of the late Shirley Wiener, the late Goldie and the late Geoffrey Rans. Fred will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, family, colleagues, patients, and all those whose lives he touched. A remarkably dedicated and skilled physician, Fred made immense contributions to community pediatrics in Montreal, practicing for over sixty years, and inspiring many members of his family and some of his patients to become physicians or to work with children. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the 6th floor staff of Tower II at the Waldorf Residence for their exceptional, loving care and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, October 7 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Russian Polish Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva strictly private.
