Obituary It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our preciously beloved matriarch, Riva Weigensberg, on Saturday, May 9, 2020, at the age of ninety-seven; a remarkable woman who lived a full, rich and well-lived life. Devoted and adored wife of her sweetheart, the late Edward Weigensberg. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Mardy and Bonnie Weigensberg (the late Mary Beth), Andrew and Catherine Weigensberg, Cary and Elayne Weigensberg, the late Allen Weigensberg and the late Marcia Beck. Cherished Bubby of Benjamin, Eric, Johanna and Leah; Liane and Ashton, Jen, Zack and Kayla; Allison and Ben, Adam and Irina, Jordan, Jess and Kyle; Jamie and Irit, Mandy and Shane (our Angel). Proud great-grandmother of Matthew Allen and Noah; Atia, Zane and Hudson; Margot, Pearce and Kira; Connor, Ava and Emma; Noah, Liam, Ivan and Bogdan; Jaiden and Owen; Dylan and Jonah Shane. Dear sister-in-law of Sybil Weigensberg. Predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Sarah and Joe Silver, Jack and Katie Beder, Toby and Phil Satenstein, Joseph and Pola Buchbinder; and by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, David Weigensberg, Jack and Sophie Weigensberg, Frank and Freda Weigensberg, Benny and Miriam Weigensberg, and Mary Morantz. Riva lived for her children and took immense pleasure in staying close to everyone in her life, including her many treasured nieces, nephews, cousins and long-time friends. She will be immensely missed by them all. Words cannot adequately describe Riva’s undeniable charm and her strong bond with the people she held so dear.
