SMILOVICI, Jakob Peacefully, on Sunday, November 17, 2013. Beloved husband of the late Saindel Katz. Devoted and loving father and father-in-law of Adele and Morris Alvo, Cynthia Smilovici. Treasured Grandpa of Lisa Alvo, Mireille Alvo and fiance Dan Bensimon. Proud Zaidie of Shannon, Jamie, and Sammy. Predeceased by his three siblings. He will be lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and by his dining companions at Maimonides. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff of 6 South at Maimonides for their exceptional care. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Monday, November 18 at 12:00 p.m. Burial at the Russian Polish Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at his daughter Adele's home from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. through Wednesday evening.
