RISHIKOF, Marjorie (nee Cryer) With her indomitable spirit, enormous heart and unfailing sense of humour, our family matriarch died peacefully, on Saturday, August 6, 2016, at the age of ninety-five. Cherished daughter of the late Jacob and the late Rose Cryer. Devoted wife of the late Israel (Issie) Rishikof. Loving sister and sister-in-law of Morty and the late Alma Cryer. Adored mother of Barry (Fran), Norman (Ellen), and Harvey (the late Trudi; and Dina). Special Bubbie of Rob and Karen, Jamie and Dianne; Jodi and Eric, Michael and Dayna, Stephanie and Xavier; Milena and Kamal, Maja and Andy. Beloved Bubbie G.G. of Sarah and Julia Rishikof; Carter and Madison Rishikof; Samantha, Emily and Mason Kligman; Ryan and Rafaela Rishikof; Simon and Oscar Nigam; Cecilia and Theodore Orekar. Sister-in-law of Micheline (Mimi) and the late Dr. Jack (Sonny) Rishikof, the late Oscar and the late Beatrice Rishikof, the late Lillian and the late Leon Bloch, the late Sally and the late Percy Tessler. Marjorie will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to the wonderful team of caregivers, Cora, Linda, Melanie, Becky, Gina, Gemma and Dina. We are immeasurably enriched by having known and loved her, and hope she enjoys the eternal bridge tournament. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, August 9 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Russian Polish Hebrew Sick Benefit Association Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at 1700 Rene-Levesque Blvd. W. (reception room), Tuesday to Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Contributions in Margie's memory may be made to the charity of your choice. |
