Suddenly, on Saturday, June 15, 2019. Beloved husband and best friend of Lilian for forty-five years. Devoted father and father-in-law of Regine and Matthew Rodier. Cherished Zaidie of Billy, Charlie and Leo. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Joseph and Rhona; and brother-in-law of Sidney Suchestow. Son of the late Hyman and the late Ruth Shaffer. Ron will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews, Rachel and Cory, Shari and Steve, Ilyssa and Christian, as well as by his many friends, cousins, and by all who knew and loved him. The family would like to thank Ron's wonderful caregivers for their kindness and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Monday, June 17 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Poale Zedek Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at his home, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. daily through Friday afternoon.
