WOLKOWICZ, Rachel (nee Zelcer) In her ninetieth year, on Tuesday, March 24, 2009. Wife of the late Israel Wolkowicz. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Harry and Sophia. Cherished Bubby of Lauri Wolkowicz and fiance Nick Mavidis, and Rosalie Wolkowicz. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Ruzia and the late Shmuel Perelmuter, Rabbi Rachmiel and the late Rosa Zelcer of Brooklyn, N.Y. Sister-in-law of Alec and Ruth Wolkowicz, Simy and the late Abram Wolkowicz, the late Jacob and the late Hela Wolkowicz. Predeceased by her parents and sister, Bella, who perished in the Holocaust. Sadly mourned by her many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to her caregiver, Marisha (Maria), for her care and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Friday, March 27, at 12:00 p.m. Burial at the Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery, Beth Hamedresh Hagodol Section, de la Savane.
