It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Wenny Amar on Wednesday May 10, 2023, surrounded by her loving family, in her ninety-fifth year. Born in Souk El Arbaa in Morocco to Esther and Abraham Assayag. Beloved wife of the late Salomon. Loving mother of Jacques (Ilana), Albert (Michelle), Esther (Lucien) and Gabriel (Cindy). Proud grandmother of David, Melissa, Adam, Nathan, Jacob, Nelly, Sam and Jesse; and great-grandmother of ten wonderful great-grandchildren. Wenny was the youngest and last surviving member of a wonderful family of nine siblings. She will be sorely missed by a myriad of nieces, nephews, friends and relatives in all four corners of the world. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Jewish Eldercare Centre for their care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Thursday, May 11 at 3:00 p.m. Burial at the Ahavath David Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at her home at 2520 rue Noël, Saint-Laurent, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 8:00 to 9:30 p.m. daily.
