GOTZLER, Livia (Lili) (nee Farkas) A Holocaust survivor and a woman of courage and valor. Peacefully, on Sunday, June 29, 2014, in her ninety-first year. Beloved wife of the late Alex Sandor. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of the late Aniko z"l (George Galambos). Adored Grandma of Johnny Galambos and Wendy Etcovitch, Aliza (Jillian) and Yerachmiel Galinsky. Proud great-grandmother of Sydney, Noah; Chana Devorah, Sarah Rivkah, Abraham Shmuel, Chaya Mushka. Predeceased by her brother, Steven (Istvan), who perished in the Holocaust, and by her sister, Elizabeth (Albert Boczan). Dearest aunt of Tom Boczan, and Andy Boczan. Loving companion of the late Imre Ban for many years. She will be lovingly remembered by the Gabanyi and Ballard families, her extended family in Los Angeles and Budapest, and by her many dear friends. Special thanks to her caregivers, Donna, Gladys, and especially Irene, for their devotion and for giving her quality of life; and to Drs. Cristache, Walker, Bekhor and Seltzer; and to the staff of the ICU at St. Mary's Hospital for their exceptional care. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, June 30 at 3:00 p.m. Burial at the Memorial Park Cemetery, de la Savane.
