SHEFTER (SHAFTER), Estelle (nee Astroff). Peacefully, on Monday, December 23, 2002. Beloved wife of the late Dave. Precious and devoted mother and mother-in-law of Barbara and George Press, Brenda and Nathan Black, Marlene and Israel Brun. Most cherished Grandma of Stewart and Paula Press, Mitchell and Cindi Press, Randi Joy and fiance Philip Beder, Bruce and Cindy Black, Ian and Addie Black, Jason Brun, and Cory Brun. Proud great grandmother of Ryan, Daniel, Kaylee, Jordan, Bradley, Jessica and Dylan. Predeceased by her sisters and brother. Dear sister-in-law of Rae Astroff. She was a very special lady who will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews and all who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank Dr. E. Edelstein and Dr. Linda Klein and the 6th floor staff of the Jewish Nursing Home, 7 West of the Jewish General Hospital, and Unit 4A of the Jewish Hospital of Hope and to all her caregivers for their kindness and care. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West on Tuesday, December 24 at 2:30 p.m. Burial at the New Memorial Park Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva private.
