KANDEL, Agnes (nee Markovits) Peacefully, on Sunday, February 21, 2016, in her ninety-second year. Devoted wife of the late Lajos. Beloved and devoted mother and mother-in-law of Julie and Tom Berkes of California. Beloved and devoted Mama of Jody and Hilary Berkes, Cheryl Berkes, Jeffrey and Devorah Berkes. Beloved and devoted great-grandmother of Lauren, Evan and Andrew Berkes; Joshua Donahue; Dovi, Tzvi, Zevi and Dani Berkes. Predeceased by her sister and their spouses. She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews and many friends. The family would like to extend their utmost gratitude to Dr. Harold Zackon. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, February 23 at 3:00 p.m. Burial at the Memorial Park Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at her home.
