LAKOFF, Freda (nee Avrith). Peacefully in her eighty-ninth year, on Tuesday, September 24, 2002. Beloved wife of the late Albert. Loving and devoted mother and mother-in-law of Robert and Grazia of Ottawa, Ellen Lakoff, Carol Lakoff, David and Anne, Brigitte and the late Michael Lakoff and the late Kenny. Cherished grandmother of fourteen and proud great-grandmother of two. Dear sister of Beatrice Richstone, Herbie Avrith, Earnest Avrith, and Iliana Silverman, predeceased by her other brothers and sisters. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to thank the dedicated staff of the St. Mary's Hospital and her caregivers at the Monoire Outremont, for their kind care and compassion. Funeral services from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West on Friday, September 27 at 10 a.m. Burial at the Memorial Park Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at 4634 Hingston, N.D.G. Due to the Festival of Sukkot, Shiva will commence the evening of Sunday, September 29.
